Long Chimney Farm Cottages

Guests are welcome to use our Swimming Pool between the hour's of 9:30am-12:30pm and 2pm-5pm Monday to Saturday, Sunday is reserved for the owners (unless otherwise advised) . For reasons of safety the following rules must be observed. We reserve the right to exclude anyone from its use if these rules are abused, at our absolute discretion. The pool will be heated from End May to Mid September. Heating is a combination of oil fired boiler and eco friendly solar power, so the temperature will vary.

1. On entering the swimming pool or allowing your children to enter the swimming pool it is understood that you agree to abide by the POOL RULES shown in the pool changing room area and also in the cottage welcome book in each cottage. The pool is NOT supervised and your safety and children’s safety is your own responsibility.

2. The swimming pool area is to be kept gated and locked. A code for the entry lock will be given to adults in the party on arrival. This must not be made available to children. A Swimming Pool alarm will be activated at night time.

3. There should be a minimum of 2 people in the pool at one time which must include one adult competent swimmer. All children and weak or non-swimmers must be supervised at all times by at least one adult competent swimmer in the party. Floats will be provided. Children’s armbands are available on request and are supplied without liability of there condition - ensure they are correctly inflated.

4. No alcohol will be allowed near the pool and no glass, drinking glasses or china teacups, mugs etc. Plastic drinking glasses are provided for soft drinks.

5. We reserve the right to exclude those guests who in our absolute discretion use the pool in a reckless or dangerous manner.

6. No running or diving. The shallow end is approximately 1.2m / the deep end is approximately 1.8m.

7. Guests must use their own towels. The towels provided are for use in the cottages only.

8. No pets allowed in the pool area.

We will undertake to ensure the pool is well looked after, daily checks made to monitor and if necessary adjust chemical levels so that general hygiene and cleanliness is maintained. A weekly record of pool condition is kept in the pump room.
