Flint, Well and Stable Cottages are all approached up a long driveway leading to a beautiful country house in which the owners live with their teenage family. The cottages are situated within the immediate area to the house, both enjoying their own south facing patio's with post and railed gardens secure for children and pets, with outlooks over our own paddocks with grazing horses and distant sea views. All cottages have Wi-Fi & reserved parking for 2 cars per cottage
Flint & Well Cottages have been subject to total renovation including new fixtures and fitting throughout. They both have again been awarded 4 stars from Quality in Tourism November 2009 and we are proud to announce that we have been upgraded to a GOLD award from Green Business Tourism Scheme January 2010.
Sidmouth
The situation of these cottages in East Devon is only two miles from the Jurassic World Heritage coastline. Situated between Beer fishing village and the delightful town of Sidmouth which is sheltered by Salcombe Hill, it is a delightful all-year-round resort. Behind its clean Beaches is a wealth of Georgian and Victorian buildings which combine with fine gardens. The Heritage Coast Trail is a magnet for walkers, while the charming coastal settlements of Beer and Branscombe are also in easy reach from Longchimney. Sidmouth also has many shops, wine bars, restaurants and a cinema. This makes Long Chimney ideal for a quiet break or a family holiday. Exeter and Dartmoor are only a short drive away.
The cottages enjoy the following extra facilities, 12x6 metre heated Mediterranean style Swimming Pool complete with sun loungers, tables and sun shades. Surrounded by a beautiful patio and wall which gives seclusion and protection from wind. There is also a games room equipped in 2009 with Air Hockey table, Football Table, Billiard/Pool Table, Table Tennis and Radio DVD Player. Fitness Room and Sauna opened October 2009. Both cottages have Webber BBQ facility and patio heaters (subject to gas charge).
